When Wynree was born we had no knowledge of the advanced needs she had. She was born and immediately put on a ventilator. She suffered from infantile spasms and extremely low blood sugar. She had her first surgery at 20 days old on her airway. She was born without her right eye, an extra pinky on each hand, a cleft in her soft palate, and brain abnormalities. She's only 3 and has had over 10 surgeries. She is non-verbal, wheelchair bound, has hypotonia and dystonia. She follows with 20+ doctors.
She knows the kind of strength, resilience, and joy that most adults don't know anything about. We've been told by doctors they don't think she will make it past 8, but with the kind of fight she has, we are hoping she will break that barrier.
