Our daughter was adopted as a newborn from the NICU. We received the match call and were able to hold her in our arms the very same day, a moment we will cherish forever. From the beginning, her journey has been filled with challenges — she has battled multiple strokes, schizencephaly, lissencephaly, porencephaly, and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome since birth. Early last year, gastroparesis was added to the list as part of her disease progression.
